There are very little published data available on people’s diets in Indonesia and few methods adapted to measure the triple burden. The food diaries project in East Java was designed to fill this gap and provide information for local and international advocacy on healthy sustainable diets. This study used data generated with and by the local community in Jember to try to better understand their diets and what drives their food choices. It was led by Tanoker, a local non-government organisation (NGO) which advocates for better and healthier eating.
